NOMAD H2O Purification

US$1,500.00

Water is the worlds most vital resource and managing it responsibly is essential to our existence. NOMAD’s off-grid water management system ensures that it is used efficiently from collection, storage, use, re-use, and final return to groundwater.

Convert the water stored in NOMAD H2O Storage from your roof or other natural sources on your property to safe drinking water using solar power. NOMAD’s solar-powered water purification system uses a unique low-voltage UV light to eliminate microorganisms, a proven and safe alternative for water treatment that’s free of harmful chemical byproducts.

UV water treatment provides a proven and safe alternative for water treatment that is free of harmful chemical byproducts. UV irradiation essentially eliminates microorganisms through disruption of their genetic core. When bacteria, viruses and protozoa are exposed to the germicidal wavelengths of UV energy, their DNA or RNA is severely damaged. As a result, they are rendered incapable of reproducing and infecting.

The conventional technique for UV water treatment utilizes UV mercury lamps. However, there are serious concerns related to the environmental impacts and performance limitations of UV lamps. These include:

● High operating power and voltage

● Short lifetime resulting in higher operating costs

● Inability to frequently turn them on/off, therefore, the lamp is using energy when there is no water flow

● Cylindrical shape of the UV lamps limits the chamber's design and efficiency

● Presence of mercury can contaminate the water supply if the fragile UV lamp is broken and makes disposal environmentally unfriendly

NOMAD’s system takes water purification to the next level of efficiency andconvenience by utilizing two well established and proven technologies: UV and LED. Recent advances in light emitting diodes (LED) technology have allowed LEDs to generate UV radiation at the wavelengths for microorganism inactivation.

Composite Filter

Before entering the chamber, the source water is filtered through an integrated filter to remove particles and odor causing chemicals, enhancing water taste

UVLED Chamber

The NOMAD UVLED chamber expose harmful microbial pathogens to the UV dose recommended by the NSF Standard. Our proprietary design allows for the UV rays to be concentrated directionally, maximizing deactivation effectiveness while minimizing power usage.

UVLED Water Purification System for point of use:

Included is a small faucet, installation supplies, sediment filter, and plumbing supplies. Recommended flow rates are 2 LPM 99.9% Inactivation of Bacteria, Virus, Protozoa, Cysts, or 1 LPM flow rate for above 99.99% purity.

FAQ’s

What is a LED? A light emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor material based light source. LEDs are small in size and much more energy efficient than alternative light sources.

What is UV? Ultraviolet (UV) is the portion of the light spectrum with wavelengths from 10nm to 380nm, which is just shorter than the human eye can detect.

What are UVLEDs used for? UVLEDs have many use cases, including the disinfection of water, physical surfaces, and even air.

Is UV safe? UV is safe for use with the appropriate precautions and is already used for treatment of certain skin conditions of those with a Vitamin D deficiency. The NOMAD’s system is enclosed and therefore does not result in any UV exposure.

How long do UVLEDs last? UVLEDs last between five and ten years and have uniquely rugged characteristics allowing them to withstand impact. They also have no limit to how many times they can be turned on and off which increases efficiency and lifespan.
